DESCRIPTION
- The use of hot stones dates back to antiquity. Hot stone massage is performed with volcanic basalt stones heated to a temperature between 40 and 70°C, in a hot water bath at a constant temperature. Basalt pebbles are polished and smoothed to facilitate their sliding on the human body. They are composed of iron magnesium silicate, allowing heat retention. Hot stone massage is the most effective massage technique for deep relaxation.
