You have just acquired a premises or you want to redesign your hair salon? Don't know where to start? The hair salon is awelcome place that must be adapted to its image but you also have to think about space optimisation. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your workspace.

Define your identity

Before thinking about decoration, you need to work on your identity. You will thus define the tone of your hair salon. There are several criteria to consider to succeed, such as the range of services you will offer, the clientele you want to attract, and the prices proposed. By laying out all these elements, you will be able to create a unique atmosphere for these criteria.

The layout of your salon

Your salon must represent you! It must be in your image, your personality and your identity. Think about creating your originality, which will differentiate you from your competitors: a wall section with original wallpaper, a photo wall, mural paintings, accessories.

Watch out for the choice of colours! They can devalue your work like red with copper hair colours.

The most important thing is that your clients must feel comfortable in your hairdressing salon.

Structure your spaces

In a hair salon, there are several areas with a specific function. You need to know how to define these areas well. You can separate them with a small wall, a step, curtains, different colours, shelves displaying your additional sales. But be careful not to overload your hair salon, it must still remain airy.

The update on the lights

It is essential not to neglect the lights during the salon layout. You should know that depending on your spaces, the lights should not have the same intensity. We recommend that you properly light your entrance and waiting area. This will attract customers from outside. Choose soft lighting at the shampoo basins; this will avoid dazzling your customers during their relaxation time. And finally, your styling area must have lots of lights. You can thus choose illuminated dressing tables or add lamps.
